Cathy Manus-Gray is a contemplative artist focusing on collage, mixed media, and abstract acrylic painting. She is a graduate of Kent State University and Ursuline College and attended Ivy School of Professional Art. She is also a Reiki Master and a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through Dharma Moon and Tibet House.

After supporting others in their creative processes as an art therapist, licensed clinical counselor, and creativity coach, she returned to her love of art-making. Missing the interaction of working with others through creativity, she has returned to offering art experientials. During the experientials she facilitates, the focus is on the process of art, present moment awareness and creativity rather than the end product as a means of self-expression and exploration. She has exhibited at Tri-C Eastern Campus Gallery East, Urusline College Wasmer Gallery and at the Summit County Probate Court Gallery in Akron, Ohio.

I view art making as a path toward deeper understanding and insight as well as relaxation and play that heals on many levels. I am intrigued by the process as I watch lines, color, textures, and shapes evolve never knowing where they might lead, and excited by the opportunity to watch and discover as the answers unfold. Always coming back to the present moment through my work, nature and the rhythm of the seasons support me in that process and provide inspiration for my creative expression. Within my collages I take disparate pieces and join them together to create a sense of wholeness and completion both within the piece and within myself.
